E-Mobility Service at Johnny Velo Bikes
We are excited to announce an expansion of our services at Johnny Velo Bikes! We now offer comprehensive e-mobility service for electric bikes and e-scooters. Our skilled technicians are equipped to handle a wide range of maintenance and repair needs to keep your e-rides running smoothly.
What We Service
Our e-mobility service is available for:
- Electric bikes (e-bikes) All brands
- Electric scooters (e-scooters) All brands
If you purchased your e-bike or e-scooter at Johnny Velo Bikes or if it is one of the following brands, then please go to our Bike Service & Repair page:
- Aventon
- Retrospec
- Giant
- Liv
- Momentum
- Bianchi
- Kona
- Segway
If you DID NOT purchase your e-bike or e-scooter at Johnny Velo Bikes and if it is not one of the previously mentioned brands then please refer to our service fees and requirements below. This is mainly for people that purchased through stores like Wal-Mart, Amazon, Temu, Alibaba, Best Buy, Direct from the internet, or your Uncle Fred.
Service Fees
Our service fees are based on the type of repair or maintenance required. Generally, they are either Mechanical or Electronic. Below is a general overview of our mechanical and electronic fee structure. Please note that these are estimates, and a final quote will be provided after an assessment of your e-mobility vehicle.

| Diagnostic Fee | $125 Required for electronic and battery service. Payable at time of drop off. Non-refundable. |
| Electronics/Battery Service | A quote will be given to you for approval outlining the parts required and additional services needed. You may either approve or decline the quote. If approved, parts will be obtained to perform the service and you will be required to pay the balance at the time of pick-up. If you decline additional service, you will be required to pick up the e-bike/e-scooter within seven days. If after seven days you have not picked up your e-bike or e-scooter, they will be disposed of properly. |

| E-moto Seat Surcharge | $50 Required if your e-bike does not have a seat post that we can mount it in a service stand. This is common with motorcycle style seats. Requires additional staff and resources. |
| Wired wheel Surcharge | $25 Required if your e-bike or e-scooter has a wheel that we cannot disconnect when replacing the tire or tube. Requires additional staff and resources. |
Important Reminders
To ensure the best possible service, please keep the following in mind when bringing in your e-bike or e-scooter:
- Key or Password: You will need to bring your key or any necessary passwords required to access your e-mobility vehicle's system. This is crucial for diagnostics and repairs.
- Battery: Depending on the service required, you may be asked to take your battery with you after dropping off your e-mobility vehicle. This helps us ensure the safety and proper handling of your battery.
- Waiver Signature: You will be required to sign a waiver at the time of drop off, outlining the policies and your responsibilities. An adult is required to sign this waiver. Children will be refused service.
If you do not provide the key/password or cannot take the battery with you, you will be required to return at another time with the e-bike or e-scooter with the key/password and battery removed.
